Recently we've been talking about how our CBD Body Oil goes undercover in the bedroom as a pleasurable intimacy formula. If CBD in bed sounds a little extra, we'll start by acknowledging that there are definitely some questionable CBD products out there (we're looking at you, CBD potato chips). However, CBD with lubricant is a partnership we can stand by.
First, a Little History
Life Elements Founder and Product Alchemist, Martha Van Inwegen, used to make intimacy kits for high-end hotels such as the Hilton and the Ritz-Carlton. Naturally, the kit included a lubricant. Fast forward to Life Elements. Martha, familiar with oils, made a Body Oil. Customers soon discovered it worked very well in the bedroom. Some exact words? "Wowza," "Game-changer," "10x more amazing."
Why it Works
Tammy Nelson, Ph.D., and board-certified sexologist says, "CBD lube can lead to increased sensitivity for some, and most experience relaxation which creates more willingness to receive pleasurable touch which in turn may lead to better and stronger orgasms."
Last we checked, everyone could use better and stronger orgasms.
Lauren Streicher, MD, a professor of clinical obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, explained to Health that CBD is a vasodilator, meaning it helps open up your blood vessels. “If someone had an increased vascular supply from a vasodilator like CBD, it would theoretically increase lubrication,” she said.

Say it With Us: Not in my Vagina
You don't have to buy our intimacy formula, but for the love of you and your partner's privates, please avoid these things:
- Nonoxynol-9 - A chemical that can cause irritation and infection
- Glycerin - Can cause yeast infections
- Petroleum-based- None of that! It'll throw off the pH of your vagina and can cause infection
- Parabens - Aka preservatives. Say it with us, "not in my vagina." They have been linked to cancer and hormone imbalance.
Keep in mind, oil and latex are not compatible (oil can cause the latex to tear).
